Are our products safe to use on sensitive skin? Are they animal-friendly? Do they contain nut products?
The simple answer is yes, yes and yes. The long answer is:-
We only use natural and safe ingredients in our products. There are no chemicals, sodium lauryl sulfates, parabens, petroleum distillate (mineral oils) or formaldehyde, basically no nasty chemicals are included in the ingredient list.
We choose to use ingredients that are known to soothe and calm the skin such as cucumber, aloe vera and papaya juices. Calming teas such as chamomile, calendula, peppermint and anti-oxidant green teas are also included. Our Bush Mint and Cucumber soap is ideal for sensitive skin but as we also include bush nectars, honey and clays all of our soaps can be used by all, no matter the skin type.
There are certain essential oils that are not recommended for use by pregnant or lactating women so we firmly recommend checking the back of each product for its list of EO's before use.
Our Gentle Baby soap and Baby Bottom Balm contain a nourishing blend of ingredients specifically chosen for baby's sensitive skin to gently cleanse whilst soothing red and irritated skin. We do use beeswax in the Gentle Baby Balm to create a barrier against moisture however we're sure that any mother with a baby or child who has allergies will check this out before use. Our baby range uses honey, beeswax, floral teas and several nut oils and these are clearly labeled on the back of all our products. Our packaging states that we recommend a general sample skin test before use, as often people do not know they have a sensitivity to an ingredient until its too late and they have used it all over their body. Its always best to err to the side of caution always.
Our products are animal-friendly as they are never tested on animals nor do they contain any animal products other than goat's milk. We do however test all our products our own skin to make sure they perform properly- in fact our Gentle Baby Soap was often 'eaten' by our granddaughters when they were younger. That gave us a double thumbs up.
Our products being natural will have a limited shelf life. For this reason, we don't bulk or mass produce but rather keep to smaller batches so they are fresher and made closer to the time we supply them to you. In general, our soaps have a use by date of almost 2 years. In saying that the soaps will still perform beyond that date but the natural essential oil fragrance diminishes gradually over time and may not be evident past that time. Our unopened creams and lotions are recommended for use up to 18 months from production but we recommend you discard any unused portions 6 months after opening.
Juddarnje Skincare's brief from the outset was and still is - keep it natural. We're sure you will find them to be thus and so your skin will be cared for in the best possible way - the way of nature.
